The entire world seems to be in a period of economic uncertainty; no one can say if they will still have a business or a job tomorrow. However, there are ways businesses can weather these hard time and manage to survive the uncertainty.
With this in mind, the Hills Shire Council is presenting a free business workshop entitled Doing Business in Challenging Times. It will be held at the Crowne Plaza, Baulkham Hills on October 19 from 8 to 9:30 am and hosted by Crowe Horwath. Mr. Horwath who will help those in attendance understand what they can do to survive economic challenges and hardships; those encouraged to attend are business owners, executives and managers.
The topics discussed will be:
• Identifying and managing financial stress
• Benchmarking business performance drivers
• Sensitivity analysis and stress testing your business
• Cash flow drivers and working capital management
• How banks apply their credit rating framework to your business
Business owners who attend this workshop should come away with a clearer idea of what they must do to succeed under difficult circumstances; they will be armed with the practical tools and strategies that will aid in their survival.
One way to help weather a tough economic climate is to create several inexpensive marketing campaigns aimed at potential new customers; such as online or direct mailing campaigns. Direct mailings are a reasonably low-cost way to get the word of your business out to those you wish to attract. Arranging a flyer printing is inexpensive and can be a very effective marketing tool. Offering those who receive the flyer a discount on your product or services will almost certainly guarantee that if they need your services, they'll almost certainly get in touch.
